Shipping policy

We offer Pick up at no cost to clients from our Commercial Kitchen at 1507 Powell street Unit 150. We will assign specific pick up times to each client. Please note your pick up time may be outside of our normal operating hours of 12-5. As a small business we are limited in our resources to have an employee available at all times in the kitchen and we may occasionally need to close the kitchen during the business hours to fulfil some deliveries. We make every attempt to make sure you can pick up your order at a time that works for you. 

Deliveries are available for all orders within certain areas (Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Surrey, Langley,  North Vancouver, West Vancouver, New Westminster).

We employ the service of a delivery company for certain deliveries, for some orders we will send a skilled and trained cake decorator to deliver the cake. 

Our deliveries go out between 12-5 with the exception of certain dates (mother's day, Valentine' Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day,...)

Our delivery charges as listed on the check out page are for Single tier cakes and for Single Items ONLY. The following exceptions apply to our delivery fees: 

- Specific times requested will incur additional $8-$15 charge based on location. 

- If your order includes multiple boxes or packages, higher delivery charges apply as the orders takes up more room in the delivery vehicle.

- If you have placed an order for a multi-tiered cake (2 or more) additional charges will apply, specially if a skilled employee from the kitchen staff needs to deliver the cake to ensure safe transportation and/or to fix minor damages that may have occurred during transportation at the final destination. We will contact you or send you a separate invoice for the delivery fee difference. Generally charges range between $20-$40 per hour, and the time that is required for the delivery of your item is calculated on the basis of the distance from our kitchen and the time and date of your event AND the your specific order (For example, a delivery to North Vancouver will require a 1.5 hour of travel time, If your order requires set up on site and additional 0.5 - 1 hour will be added depending on the order; if you have requested a 4 PM delivery on a weekday there is an additional 0.5 hour charge will be added because of heavy traffic, or your event date is on a weekend, generally there won't be a rush hour traffic). If additional delivery charges apply to your order we will offer a detailed explanation of charges in the invoice that is sent.

-If you need to pick up or need delivery of your order on a day we are closed (Sundays and Mondays) Additional charges may apply as we need to schedule an employee to open the kitchen for you. By law, the minimum hours we can schedule an employee to work is 2 hours, so a minimum of 2 hours of work may be charged to you. We operate from a shared kitchen space, so if there are others present in the kitchen we may be able to waive this fee, but the request will need to be assessed on a case by case basis.
